Project Designer
We require an experienced project designer to work on a vast range of projects including residential and retail. The role will be largely office based but you may be expected to carry out surveys and site visits nationwide. You should have AutoCAD and Microstation experience with good knowledge of planning and building regulation legislation.
Good client communication skills are essential, as you will be dealing with client queries on the phone. Excellent attention to detail is required, as you will be transferring details from hand written survey notes onto CAD drawings.

Architectural Technician
We require an Architectural Technician to work on a vast range of projects within commercial, education and industrial sectors. The ideal Architectural Technician will live in a commutable distance to our offices in Essex although will be expected to visit sites and projects throughout the UK.
Cox Design and Planning develops commercially viable projects. We work with a range of clients in the commercial sector, as well as in the residential, leisure and public sectors.
A minimum of 1 years’ experience as an Architectural Technician with relevant qualification. Proven experience of working on in relevant sectors and a comprehensive knowledge of current Building Regulations and Knowledge of planning procedures. Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD and Adobe software.
Good client communication skills are essential, as you will be dealing with client queries via comms and face to face. Excellent attention to detail is required.

Graduate Structural Engineer
We are seeking to employ a junior structural engineer on a permanent basis. Applicant must be academically strong from a recognised structural institution or looking to join. Must have some experience of working in a UK structural consultancy already, however this is not compulsory.
You will have a passion for architecture, building, being different and be able to prove it at interview. Great opportunity to get experience on some truly unique projects.
The ideal candidate will be working on structural design within the private residential, commercial, industrial and retail sectors. The candidate must have: Full Driving license with UK entitlement, sound Architectural Construction knowledge including the planning process and UK building regulations.

Cox are looking for multiple forward-thinking and experienced site managers to assist with delivery of current at forthcoming projects within key construction sectors.

Electrical Design Engineer
COX is currently looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Essex office due to securing a number of major projects.

In your role you will contribute to the delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and high- quality advisory services and design solutions. Responsiblities
To lead MEP engineering design delivering a range of project work
Managing risk within MEP engineering projects; having good working knowledge of MEP scope/appointments and excellent commercial acumen
To act as the lead engineer in a design team being responsible for electrical building services concept and detailed design
Supervising and monitoring the work of others in this function
Mentoring and developing junior engineers
Producing reports, drawings and specifications to suit various RIBA design stages
Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project
Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams
Attending a range of project group and technical meetings
Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements
