Objectives

The client, a high-tech manufacturer, required a new clean room facilities. By redesigning the internal space and introducing new reinforced slab and pad foundations to accommodate a new steel mezzanine the existing space could be reconfigured to accommodate the proposed facility.

COX Group were appointed to handle site preparation, excavation, demolition of an 800m2 RC slab with vibration mitigation, construction of new RC pads and slab, building the power substation, developing access roads and drainage systems, and coordinating with other contractors and stakeholders.

Challenges

The demolition of the existing 800m2 RC slab required vibration mitigation due to a nearby sensitive live plant. Variable soil types necessitated specialized excavation and foundation techniques, while strict compliance with environmental and safety regulations was essential.
