Knowsley community college is a Balfour Beatty investment school built in 2009.
Cox Design and Consult were appointed lead design team for a project to remodel under performing teaching areas with new class rooms. We took on full design responsibility and delivered the project from RIBA stages B to K. Careful design and consideration was required to alter the existing comfort cooling system to meet building bulletin 101 requirements.
Through out the project we worked closely with the teachers; council and main contractors ensuring the design and delivery were compliant with current Building Regulations and building bulletin. The project was successfully delivered within the project time-scale constraints.
