Following the successful London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games London Legacy Development Corporation were established to develop the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to develop a dynamic new heart for east London. Cox Design and Consult ltd have been fortunate enough to be involved in a number of LLDC projects on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Cox Design and Consult Ltd were appointed lead design team to develop a scheme for the new Visitor Centre at pudding mill lane we were required to deliver the project from RIBA stages B to K. The 2 hectare site was to accommodate new visitor centre, FM office, welfare facilities, car park and facilities for the landscape group.
East way Multi Storey carpark to the North West corner of the site adjacent to the broadcast centre was to form part of the Legacy development. Cox Design and Consult Ltd were appointed lead design team to develop a scheme from RIBA stages B to K. The car park needed to be adapted for future use and new car park office and welfare facilities.
LLDC Park HQ situated between the copper box arena and the Olympic stadium is the on site park HQ office. Cox Design and Consult were appointed to develop internal office designs to meet the evolving needs of the occupier.
South Park Hub retail and hospitality facilities adjacent to the Orbit. Cox Design and Consult Ltd were instructed to carry out surveying works on the premises. All surveying works had to conform to the RICS 7th edition code of measuring practice.
